J o h n I a n R u t h e r f u r d is an Educator and Architect
John primarily teaches Secondary Science utilizing the International Cambridge Curriculum . He also teaches Elective Classes in Environmental Design, Life Skills, Art and English as a Second Language (ESL). He is the Secondary Coordinator of ESL and assists school directors with curriculum plans, purchasing and facility management. John has been the Organizing Director of various Additional Activities including: Elective Programs, 1st Annual School Fair, Nature Trail, Student Government, Springfield Scouts, Student Newspaper, Drama Set & Props Team, Science Lab Purchasing and Refurbishment. He Coordinates Curriculums with other teachers and plays lead roles on Field Trips, Student Proms and other Special Events. John is actively engaged in the study of Educational Theory, Practice and Curriculum Development and Delivery as well as participating in multiple professional development courses. He has worked with an International Team to write a Grant for the National Science Foundation (NSF - USA) to study various methodologies of improving Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) Education. The specific proposal related to Innovative ways of teaching about Energry and Renewable Resourses. He designed a Science Center in New Jersey for that Grant Application.
John is passionate about Advancing Education through the Discovery and Development of Optimal Systems of Curriculum, its Delivery Methods, Supplemental Materials and Corresponding Architecture.
